Here are the rest of the photos.
I wish we had more prizes but we consolidated everything into two. It was probably for the best as we had ten to twenty that made it into the narrowing down process when we thought there were more prizes.
I sat up in the back with a single light with a blue gel over it. Blue seems to work the best for such things. I didn't want to flash all night long and I certainly didn't want to flood the entire pool room with white light capable of shooting by. So I went for the single blue light. Shot with a poorer telephoto lens but needed the 17mm instead of the 50mm of my prime so I didn't take up even more space than I was. Then I shot raw and got to play around with raw workflow on my computer. I'm really begining to like it as so much can be changed when porting the pictures into photoshop. The biggest upset of the night was that only about half of the photos I took actually came out. Due to what I hope was a random occurence or at worst, a bad memory card, about half the photos weren't saved even though it appeared that they were and it even seemed that I reviewed them once or twice. Pissed me off since that was most of the fun shots we did.
